Reflecting on Assignment 1 and both exercises

The feedback I have recieved for this assignment has been very helpful, its given me some questions to ask myself during the process of an assignment and its exercises. I think for my next assignment I will be alot more thorough with my creative process planning and explaining as I understand now how I could make my work better. Asking myself questions such as:

Why did I choose to draw what I did? what is the meaning and the context behind it creation? (in detail)

Did I experiement with different types of media and how did I find it?

Could I explore using traditional media before making a final piece digtially?

Did I use thumbnail sketches in order to make my final illustration? The thoughts behind them.

When researching and producing ideas using Illustrators or information I could also ask more in depth questions such as:

What brainstorming methods could I use? (lists, spider or tree diagrams, sketches)

What effect will my research have on exploring ideas? its influence and such.

Analysing the compostion of works I am researching. How do others use compostition to help visual readers gather info and how can I apply it to my own work?

Think about who would be commisioning these illustrators Ive researched and how they would have approached this according to the brief?

Finally relating my work to others and comparing throughout, maybe deciding what styles and media compostions I would like to explore or experiment with in the future.

An additional thought to myself would be how can I develop my illustrations tradtionally and digtally so I can adapt and branch out to find new styles.
