Summation Part 5: Constructing a Visual journal 5.3
Firstly I applie some of my printed of images in with my original action plan in order to remind myself of the type of techniques I would like to use throughout the rest of the course.
The task is to create a visual journey of all the techniques, art pieces and skills I have enjoyed or connected with so far in the unit. I have combined a lot of my action plan words, aims and art that is all shown in an interactive and creative way. The way in which is composed the journal is using an a3 piece of paper and folded it like a book and on each side collaged and stuck on all of my favourite exercise pieces in fun ways like fold outs, pull downs… it brought the whole thing to life visually.
As you can see I’ve compiled or the pictures/print offs and elements of exercises in addition to dotting about are techniques and describing words of all the images, I have also included what I want to continue in the future and what things I excel in the most such as original characters and cartoons, observation drawings and working with new mediums.
In this picture I have opened, folded and moved some sections of the page to reveal more images and words by using things like envelopes, magazines like in early part 1, doors, pull downs and fold outs with pictures on every side as well as a train ticket as a tribute to one of the exercises about a journey.
I think my journal although only two pages showcases the majority of what I wanted to incude, It has all of my most enjoyed and best pieces and it shows the character behind my work and the diversity of my illustrative skills.
The content of this visual Journal will be inspiration into what methods/techniques I know will work for my final assignment and I am confident in making sure I include as much research, quality and reflection as I can.
