Sketchbook as Object part 2: Rapid Sketches 2.0
Annotation under the fold outs ^ I talked about the time it takes and how it effected the outcome.
The next part using moving objects I first had a go with drawing a ring spinning in slow motion but, It was to hard to capture certain moments it wasn't as straight forward as I thought it would be, there were to many angles and postitions. I still attempted it but it was not only to complicated it was quite small too fill the page too.
I decided instead to use water tipping from a glass inot the sink as the shapes were simpiler and it has some texture to it. I did the sketch in pen and think I captured the twist and turns of the water quite well with marking making and the use of dark and light. I also didnt have to be as precise with the detail like I did the ring.
To add to the page this kind of stop motion technique reminded me of those little flip books youd make as a kid so I made a little one of a ball bouncing and hung it to the middle. I think having these interactive elements will make my sketchbook a lot more enjoyable to read.
