 Building a toolkit

In my tool kit I picked things I am most comfortable and easiest to transport. I also have a mini sketchbook again easy to carry and a little tied bag to carry my pencil and pens in.

My tools

• HB pencil
• Mechanical Pencil with rubber
• H pencil
• 5B pencil
• 0.5 Fine liner
• 2.0 fine liner 
• A sharpener
• Hard Rubber

 

I took my toolkit first around the house, in the living room and also the front door. I then ventured out to the church at the end of my road and carried on through the park drawing a tree on one of the paths.

I think the selection of tools I have picked are great, I like to use darker pencils for a bit more intensity but also like to have a bit more control with the likes of a mechanical pencil. I think as I continue with teh exercise I may add or swap certain tools to see what other results I can come up with; experiment with different properties.
