I had a look at some book fairs where there were some independent publishers, designers and artists. In this exercise I'm trying to 'gain a better understanding of a variety of book and independent publishing possiblilities'.

This website out of all the websites had the most to offer, it had a lot of links to various book fairs each months throughout the year ranging from independent Illustrators, book deisgns, handmade crafts adn book, LGBTQ+ and Zines, letterpress printers all up and down the UK.
This fair has been ongoing from 2014 in Tetley where tehre are preformances, workshops, talks and artists books.
Some af the artists features in this event:
Sumi Perera gave a talk at the event who is 'an interdisciplinary artist She combines traditional printmaking methods with contemporary techniques (computer numerical controlled methods: laser cutting/engraving; sandblasting etc.) often harnessing stitch to form mixed-media assemblages. Sometimes electro-conductive inks/threads, Arduino circuits are incorporated to produce audiovisual effects.'

Shy Bairns is the collaborative practice of artists, designers and curators Izzy Kroese, Erin Blamire, Eleanor Haswell and George Gibson, established in 2016. Did a workshop on how to make Zines
